I have been trying and trying to get my pictures to capture just how pretty this fabric is…and so far only a few of my pictures look like it does in person… Let me just tell you, the red is just as bright as the green is bold. They are both very much Christmasy colors!
I had a piece of pretty green wool felt in my stash and decided to make Rebecca a dainty and “smallish” bonnet making the most of the two main colors of the fabric. I hope you like it…
I used a red ruffled velvet stretchy ribbon to embellish the bonnet and then added some red flowers and gold beads… The button I used as a “brooch” for her, is GREEN… not teal or blue like it looks in my pictures…
The bonnet ties under her chin with a red sheer ribbon… over to one side…
As I see Rebecca standing there on my cutting table, in this colorful dress and bonnet, she looks REALLY pretty and almost like a real little girl back from another era…
I still have to find something special to go with her dress…
The snaps are all sewn to the back and all the handwork is finished… Almost done, so keep watching!
