Today was about trying to get all the pieces ready for taking “Ebay” pictures…
I found a piece of white ribbed fleece and thought it would make a fairly decent looking snow scene.
I found a lamp post at Hobby Lobby for 60% off… and it’s nice, but it was actually too short, so I had to jury-rig something for the base to sit on… I wrapped a decorative bucket I had in black felt and turned it upside down… Then I sat the lamp post on top of it… It’s nice and will work for all my other girls, even better…
The only thing is, it has a button where the light comes on, but you have to PRESS it and it only works if you have your finger on it… So all my pictures where the light is on, were taken with me standing right next to the lamp and my left hand was pressing the button… so all my pictures are a bit crooked. (I just had an “a-ha” moment as I was writing this) I will use one of the clips I use when holding my leather soles together, to press the button down, or even use a clothes pin and then hide the button behind the post. Oh yay… I can do that the next time I’m taking pictures.
I copied some Christmas sheet music from pictures I found on Google… then made them “wallet sized” on my printer. The group is concentrating on 2 songs… Silent Night, and O, Little Town of Bethlehem…
I made a red folder and decorated it with Christmas stickers!
I am trying to figure out a way to have her hold them… in both hands…and think after trying rubber bands, string, loops, I have figured out how to do it… stay tuned for that one!
Hobby Lobby had these tiny little red and black lanterns. The black one seemed to be the best pick…
Joy thought the dress needed a belt, so I cut one on the bias so it would be slightly stretchy and hug her waist better… It ties in the back with a bow.
I experimented with my lights being on, off, with just one on, with just the street light on, and they weren’t great… the one with the lamp only looks like the lamp is on fire!
Anyway, I’m getting there… but had to quit and do some other things… We have to get up at 4:00 in the morning to allow enough time for the hour trip to get my eye surgery…
I’ll be thinking of how to tie all the things together for pictures… Outside pics were not possible… it was rainy and windy today.
I sure hope I can get this pulled together! I really needed a snowy background scene or a street corner with snow falling down in the light.
