Sorry, I had to use that for my title today… I don’t think I’ve had that many Wow’s on a dress EVER! Thanks for starting the “trend” Linda! My heart just swelled with all your wonderful compliments and ideas for what might come with it…
Well, my date with my sewing machine wasn’t as long as it was yesterday, but I still managed to get a few things finished…
I think it was Joy who suggested possibly adding some black piping around the edges of the sleeves, so I made some more and added it on by hand, stitching it to the inside cuff.
Then I think it was Kathie who suggested a fan to keep away some of the heat, and I liked that idea, so I came up with a black fan…
We certainly needed a fan outside this afternoon. I took these pictures around 5:00 this evening and the sun was going down, but the heat index was 113 out there. As soon as I opened the door, the heat hit us and I knew it was going to be a VERY QUICK photo session!
But you can see how pretty she looks in the soft aqua/minty color. My hubby LOVES this dress! :o)
The sun was shining through the trees and I think it looks lovely on the black lace.
I still haven’t gotten a slip or crinoline made or her hair figured out yet… but she still looks so pretty outside!
I love these last 2 pictures…on the fountain again… there’s something special about taking pictures there…
Well, I’ll see what happens tomorrow!
